What is Easter

What is Easter?

What is Easter?
People have different beliefs about what Easter is.
Some people believe it is about Easter eggs, or that Jesus resurrected, and some people don’t even celebrate it.

Easter Eggs
Ancient Egyptian and Persians believed that the earth hatched from an egg. They celebrated new life by decorating eggs in bright spring colours. The first chocolate eggs were made in Germany in 19th century.

Easter Sunday

Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for there sins. On Easter Friday Jesus died on the cross, it was said that on Easter Sunday Jesus was resurrected into heaven.

Conclusion
All over the world many people celebrates Easter and some of don’t even celebrate Easter at all. Because it is when the Easter bunny comes and hides the eggs and once the kids wakes up we all go and search for it.

.All about my best friends and me.

Hi there friends do you know me? Well if you don’t I will tell you my name is Heather. I am a Samoan girl that was born in New Zealand. Today we are going to talk about “All about my best friends and me.”

Me and my friends always play at the senior’s playground, where all the year 4’s,5’s,6’s and up play on. It is a really cool playground it has monkey bars and it has a flying fox as well, and a tornado. My friends name is:Roimata and Alisha. They are most greatest friends I had in my whole life they were the first two I have, ever met in 5th grade those two treated me like a sister I didn’t really treat them like sisters because they, were just strange’s to me. Then as we were slowly growing older we all became nine as three friends moved, up to the same classroom class 10 room 13.
I was so surprised that us three friends saw each other in the same classroom we were laughing, a little bit as we were walking around to find our own desks.

After when us three friend saw the most greatest spots for us three, I told them “ Hey guys there is a seat where we can sit.” So we went and choice those three seats it was very comfortable a little bit. Once we found our spots our new teacher Ms Ouano put our names on the, desks and we had to sellotape it up so it can stay on there so we know which one is ours instead of sitting on, someone elses seat and it would be a waste of time sitting down on that persons chair.

Then after about 4 or 5 weeks we all started to get use to our new classroom it was actually nice in our, new classroom. But then the next day me and my other classmates  were walking to class we saw this big fence it was, not the hight of me but something else. I was wondering what was happening so we all went inside when the bell, just went for us to start school.
When we all sat down on the mat Ms Ouano told us what was happening once she told us we all got what, she means she told us that they were basting down her old classroom and making a new one for us it sounded excited.

Well sorry I got to go but I could tell you next time and thanks for listening to me maybe I can finish of the story tomorrow, how about that ha. Well bye hope you enjoyed my story. See you next time.

Pohutukawa

Hi there Pt England students do you guys want to learn more about Pohutukawa?
Well if you do then visit my blog and you will see this reading sheet it is a very good activity.
Bye please leave me a comment bellow and I will tell you all about it oh and by the way this is the activity that me and my reading group did it is really good for your brain.

What is Fiafia?

WHAT IS FIAFIA?

Talofa lava I am a Samoa girl and I am from Pt England School where we learn all kind of new things.Today I am going to talk to you about what fiafia means. To all the Pt England school students in Pt England. Have you ever heard of fiafia before? Well for the people who never heard of it I am going to tell you.
Fiafia means in Samoa and Tonga happy and for the NZ people it means celebration and joy to all the NZ people.

What it means is drama and having fun we did Fiafia a long time ago for the school birthday it turned 60 years old, when I heard it turned 60 on fiafia I was so surprised. We all tuse 3 things that we want to do then when the teachers see what we have chosen they put us in the group that we put in the 3 empty box. I chose to be in Samoa group and hip hop and whovian group I was hoping that they would put me in samoa but I was chosen to be in whovian, I didn’t really mind because I always wanted to be in a different group before. My group was the whovian hula girls it is a very nice relaxing song, oh and our dance starts soft then it goes sort of fast then a little bit more faster and speedy. Most of all I thought that our team would look awesome like all the other groups.

When that day of Fiafia! Came, we all started  participating and we were Managing our hands feet and mouth and everything, when we were walking down to where we sit in our rows, and once we got there we were watching this short video clip and it was really funny and most of all has all the information that, all the parents need to know about the 10 steps. Once it was starting we all started to watch all the fiafia groups one at a time, it was awesome. Sooner or later it was time for the hula girls group I was so nervous but then I just looked at my hands, and did the moves with the other girls it was really really! AWESOME! Then when we finish our dance we did our second dance it went a little faster we did it about 3x it was amazing. After that we did this stick dance it was amazing and some of us did some mistakes but, we did not care about that we just kept on going till we finished our dance. What we do @Pt England school?

Monday 8th April

Hi today I am going to talk to you about, what we do @Pt England school?

P2:

Well the thing that I do at school is, we learn and we do some silent reading as well, It is really good for your brain to get started and to get it started with, some idea for your writing or reading as well just to make it sound interesting. The first thing that we do when we went down to the mat is our silent reading sometimes we read for, about 30min. Sooner or later when the 30min is over we all have to put away our book and the first ten on the mat to get some points. The reason why we all want points is because the one who gets the highest points gets a prize on Fridays or, Mondays because if the teacher has something to do that Friday that day then you get it on the next day of school. Oh I forget to tell you who was there?Well if I did I am going to tell you who was there. The people that was there was our teacher Miss Ouano and the class10 students there, is about 30 I am not sure?

P3:

Well it was nice sharing this to you about a what we do at Pt England school. Maybe some other time I will talk to you about something more exciting.Well see you next time bye.I hope to see you next time have a good day see yah.

The key competencies.

The key Competencies.

Hi my name is Heather. Would you like to know what are the key competencies? You ask me. Well there is 5 skills that we need, to always use at school in order to succeed and become the life long learners. Now I am going to move on to what the key competencies I am really successful at and the one that, I really need to work on. Soon when I tell you what I am successful at I want to say that being at school can, really turn your brain on most of all I can make you think as well and don’t, get me wrong because it happened to me once I came to this lovely school Pt England I was new to that school then, I was just five years old I growed up to be nine then I came into class 10 it was a, very nice great class where we can learn all kind of new things in this class like the key competencies it is a very good lesson.

Managing self

The key competencies that I am really great at is Managing my self and a whole bunch of things but, most of all Managing my self. How I am really good at managing my self like I always think about my actions, controlling my body and make sure I am trying, my best to managing my own self with no distraction. Now that I have finish with my managing my self I am going to tell you about what I am not really good at sometimes. Before we all move on I want to tell you all about managing your self for the people out, there that do not know how to manage yourself then all you have to do is well here is some few tips how, to manage yourself. Step number1 all you have to do is sit on the mat and if you want to tell the teacher something is by, putting your hand up and most of all if someone is talking to you then move away.Once you have you can be managing your self with lots of behaviour.

Participating and Contributing

The thing that I am bad at for the key competence is participating and  contributing sometimes because whenever I am on the ground, for our reading groups and when I was on the mat I didn’t really listen, then the teacher asked me then she said to me to listen whenever, she is talking so I stopped playing with my hand and then I got a little good at my participating and contributing. Once I got a little bit better I was finally got the hang of it.

Conclusion

Well it was nice sharing this with you and most of I had lots of fun sharing all this KC with you, it was lot of fun well I think you should go it is getting late, well I hope to share more with you next time.See you.

Hey do you want to ask some questions? Well I hope you do because I have some cool ones it is about KC.

Ok what are you good at in KC.

A(Managing self)
B(Participating and contributing)
C(Thinking)
D(Relating to others)
E(Using language and symbols and text)

Name one thing that you are bad at in five of this words?

Please leave a comment underneath please.
